Will this sail fit my Sunfish?

Yes. Our Sunfish sails are made for the Sunfish and also fit the Scorpion, Super Porpoise, Sailfish, Aquafin, Phantom and Playfish. Each sail page is made for that boat model, so it fits the standard boat. Not sure about your model? Email us before you order.

Are Sunfish sails in stock? How fast do they ship?

Yes. Sunfish sails shown on the site are in stock and ship in 3–5 days. Other sails are custom and ship in about 4 weeks. Solid-color and color-your-own Sunfish sails are custom (about 3–4 weeks); the current shipping time shows on the design page.

Window or no window?

Every design comes both ways. The window lets you see boats and obstacles on the other side of the sail (it is 8" x 60" on our White, All-American, Atlantic and Gulfstream sails). The no-window version costs a little less.

Do I need new sail hoops?

If your hoops are worn or missing, choose "Add Hoops" on the product page. Sail hoops are available as an optional add-on (not included).

What is the sail made of?

Premium Challenge 3.9-ounce Dacron (Challenge sailcloth is made in the USA), sewn with Tenara thread, a PTFE sewing thread that resists UV and rot. Stainless grommets, backed by our 3-year warranty.

Can I use it for racing?

These are recreational sails. Many Sunfish racers use them as value-priced practice sails. For class-sanctioned regattas, check the current class rules.

Can I pick my own colors?

Yes. Use Color Your Sunfish Sail to color each panel, then add it to your cart. Colored sails are custom sails; sail hoops are available as an optional add-on on the product page. For one solid color, see Solid Color Sunfish Sails (9 colors; custom sail – ships in about 3–4 weeks).
