Will this sail fit my boat?

Each sail page lists the sail's dimensions. Compare them with your boat or your old sail before you order; our How to Measure guide shows how. If you are not sure, email us your boat model and we'll check it for you.

What are your sails made of?

Every sail is built with premium Challenge sailcloth made in the USA and sewn with Tenara thread.

How long until my sail ships?

Current shipping time: 4 weeks. Sunfish sails we have in stock ship in 3–5 days. Custom sails, such as solid-color Sunfish sails, ship in about 3–4 weeks. Need it sooner? Email us before you order.

What does shipping cost?

Shipping is free on every order to a US address. We ship to US addresses only, via UPS, from Charleston, South Carolina.

What is your return policy?

You may return sails and other items sold by The Sail Store, including custom sails, within 15 days of delivery for a full refund minus a 20% restocking fee and shipping costs. Items must be unused and in brand-new condition (in the original packaging where possible) and are sent back by mail at the customer's expense. Please email us before returning an item.

Is there a warranty?

Yes. Our Inshore sails carry a 3-year warranty and our Offshore sails a 5-year warranty on defects in materials or workmanship. Email us to discuss any warranty issue.

Who makes your sails?

Our sails are made by FX Sails, the online sailmaker. If you need a sail that isn't a standard size, FX Sails builds custom mainsails, headsails and spinnakers; get an instant quote at fxsails.com.
