Will it fit my boat?
Cut to the sizes on this page. This sail is made to the luff, leech and foot listed above, FX Sails’ standard sizes for Hunter 25. Before you order, compare them with your old sail.
Standard Hunter 25 rig: I 30′ · J 10.5′ (published rig data, Good Old Boat sail data). Compare it with your boat; a different mast, tall rig or replacement spars means your sail needs different numbers.

Luff tape & furler fit
A furling headsail has a luff tape, a roped edge that slides up the groove in your furler’s foil.
FX Sails’ 2015 build record for a Hunter 25 headsail: #6 luff tape.
#6 is the most common size. Sailrite’s tape chart lists #6 for Harken 0, 1, 2, 2.5 and 3; Furlex 61A–65A and 60B–66B; Schaefer 2000 and 3000; Profurl 31, 32, 35 and 42; CDI FF1, 2, 4, 6, 7 and 9; and most Hood Seafurl units. Some other furlers use a different size, so we confirm yours.

UV cover & foam luff
UV cover side. The Sunbrella UV cover runs along the leech and foot on one side of the sail: the side that faces out when the sail is rolled up. Look at your furled sail; if the cover faces to port, choose Port. FX Sails’ measuring form asks the same thing (“color and side, port or starboard side of sail”). Not sure? Tell us in the comments box at checkout and we’ll check before cutting.
Foam luff. A tapered strip of foam sewn into the luff. It helps the sail keep a flatter, better shape when you sail it partly rolled up. Worth adding if you reef the headsail on the furler.
Warranty
Our inshore sails carry a 3-year warranty; our offshore sails carry a 5-year warranty.
On FX Sails’ own quote site: “Our Inshore Sails, perfect for daysailing and short jaunts along the coast, carry a 3-year warranty. Our Offshore Sails are as tough as they come and feature a 5-year warranty.”

Designed by Sandy Goodall, former partner and head of design at Elvstrøm Sails in Denmark. Shape and draft position are built in by careful design and broad seaming.

Returns
You can return anything you buy from The Sail Store, custom sails included, within 15 days of delivery for a full refund minus a 20% restocking fee and shipping costs. Items must be unused and in brand-new condition (in the original packaging where possible) and are sent back at your expense. We don’t do exchanges; return the item and place a new order.
